Description: Unchartered Waters in 2D Modelling: Regina City-wide Stormwater Model Development
Unchartered Waters in 2D Modelling: Regina City-wide Stormwater Model Development
Abstract
ISL’s team developed a City-wide Stormwater Model for Regina, considering all surface flows, and series of standardized modelling guidelines and operating procedures. A coupled 1D-2D model was developed for the entire city, comprised of an extensive number of elements including 10,705 manholes, 22,869 catchbasins, 15,700 pipes, and 22,260 catchbasin leads. Through a laborious process that included tying together the extensive dataset, the City is now equipped with the appropriate tools to accurately assess and manage their stormwater infrastructure.
