Abstract
Two Colorado utilities, the City of Longmont and South Platte Water Renewal Partners, installed biogas-to-RNG systems at their respective WRRFs using alternate delivery methods. The relationships built between the owners, Carollo Engineers as the design engineer, the equipment manufacturers, and the contractors proved to be invaluable from design through startup and commissioning. This allowed both projects to work through issues as they arose and ultimately, resulted in well-functioning projects that are providing revenue streams for the utilities.
