CMAR Approach Accelerates Repair of the Independence WWTP
Abstract
Black & Veatch assisted the city of Independence in repairing the city's wastewater treatment plant after a major flood. Interim repairs were identified to bring the plant back into partial service and FEMA funds were used for the repairs. The construction manager at-risk (CMAR) process was used to provide permanent repairs, providing a single point source of responsibility.
