The Trinity River Authority's Ten Mile Creek Regional Wastewater System (TMCRWS) treats up to 65 MGD of tertiary effluent for Type II water reuse and stream discharge. A project completed in 2021 replaced chlorine disinfection with a new UV disinfection system. An onsite bioassay testing program was utilized for the required performance testing. The testing procedure followed protocols published by the National Water Research Institute in its 2012 UV Disinfection Guidelines, and allowed the
