“ENVISION” for Wastewater Infrastructure Sustainability & Resiliency - Move over LEED, ENVISION™ is the new kid on the Block!

Evaluating future wastewater infrastructure today is not quite as straight forward as in the past. Wastewater projects today typically don’t stand alone. Overriding inter-relationships with water supply, irrigation and water resource impacts are all part of the evaluation process. There was a real need for a tool to help us consider all the impacts….thus ….ISI ENVISION™.We will guide the audience, through which they will be exposed to a new language, design development practices, centered around economic, social and environmental impact assessment tools including sustainable return on investment analysis, Triple Bottom Line and Business Case Evaluation of the benefits that this unique project offers.The Paper will also discuss how these tools work with the ISI Envision Rating System and their relevance to the planning process. We will explore how to create business cases that consider the full value of project-specific costs and benefits and create risk-adjusted business cases for sustainable infrastructure projects.
