Abstract
Today, the global water crisis is very much a reality with close to a billion people each day living without access to clean, safe water. When individuals do not have reliable access to clean, safe water, their health and their ability to secure an education or consistent work suffers. And as these basic requirements quality of life are compromised, a community suffers and is challenged to grow and sustain itself.The need for reliable access to clean, safe water is very great for villages across sub-Sahara Africa. This paper will discuss how a community well was developed for village in Kidete, Tanzania in 2008 and the resulting well not only provided clean, safe water for the village but also transformed the lives of many of the village residents of Kidete.
