Positive Feedback: Odor Control & Asset Management
Abstract
Asset management and capital improvement programs have seen wide spread adoption in recent years to manage the large investments in infrastructure that are required. However, odor and corrosion issues within the collection system are often addressed in a reactive manner that does not consider the systematic nature of odor and corrosion issues. The overall criticality of a particular section of the collection system and the need to reduce the business risk associated with it can also influence how odor control measures are implemented. A comprehensive, system wide approach to identifying and solving odor and corrosion issues within the collection system is required to develop the most effective and efficient mitigation strategies that correspond with the goals of today’s CIP initiatives.
