Developing an Integrated Approach to Managing Urban Watersheds
Abstract
The Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District administers active programs for control of combined sewer overflows separate storm sewer systems and sanitary sewer overflows. These programs have been combined under common management and reporting. The combined programs will allow decisions to be made on a watershed basis. This paper outlines the efforts to combine the programs and the anticipated development of the water quality tool.
