A NEW CENTRIFUGE TESTED IN OPERATION
Abstract
Paul Cornay has created a new approach to centrifuge design. His prototype centrifuge was basically a bottle-type centrifuge made to operate continuously. This new design is believed to be a significant improvement over existing centrifuge designs. A full-scale centrifuge was designed and constructed by ERTH Technologies, Inc. and is currently being tested in Lyons, Colorado. Initial performance shows remarkable thickening capability on waste activated sludges with very little polymer. Although further work and improvements are taking place on this new centrifuge, there is now demonstrated success with this new radical design.
