Illinois Water and Wastewater Resource Network

The Illinois Water and Wastewater Agency Response Network (ILWARN) is a network of utilities helping other utilities to respond to and recover from emergencies. ILWARN is a ‘utility to utility’ mutual aid program and additional services that support and train utilities in preparation for and to provide recovery support during and after natural or manmade disasters. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA), Illinois Rural Water Association (IRWA), Illinois Water Environment Association (IWEA), and Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) are members of the ILWARN Steering Committee. ILWARN is administered by the Illinois Section of American Water Works Association (ISAWWA) for ILWARN Members that include the major water and wastewater associations and organizations in Illinois. These association partners represent the clear majority of water and wastewater utilities in Illinois serving in excess of the 94% of the population of Illinois.
