Abstract
Unprecedented decline in drinking water storage levels in the South East Queensland region of Australia resulted in the fast tracked development of A6.9 billion of new water supply infrastructure including the Western Corridor Recycled Scheme. Concurrently the State Government implemented legislation regulating recycled and drinking water quality. This paper describes the challenges of complying with a complex new regulatory framework while delivering infrastructure in record time.
