Papp, Katerina
Katerina works as a post-doc at Southern Nevada Water Authority in Las Vegas. Her expertise started with a focus on microbial pathogens in a human health context and continued with a doctorate directed at elucidating soil microbial activity and growth through quantitative stable isotope probing. She is also involved in projects investigating the impacts of homelessness on water quality, and trace organic compound uptake and antibiotic resistance gene prevalence in wastewater-irrigated crops. Currently, she focuses on wastewater-based epidemiology for SARS-CoV-2 in local wastewater.
